With all the chipsets for 2020 now announced, it looks like 5G is quickly going to gain traction. Almost all the chipsets from the upper mid-range through to flagship will be 5G only, and companies such as Realme will only launch 5G phones (in China) moving forward.

This year we saw a strong focus on gaming orientated mid-range chipsets with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G and the Mediatek Helio G90T, this looks set to continue with the Snapdragon 765G and the MT6885 or Dimensity 1000L as it is rumoured to be called.

OPPO Reno3

Multiple leaks have indicated that OPPO will be launching the Reno3 with the MediaTek Dimensity 1000L 5G and then OPPO has already confirmed the Reno3 Pro will feature the Snapdragon 765G processor. If this is true it is a little strange as both chipsets target the same market segment.

The leak came from a page on the OPPO website itself, so it does seem to be accurate.
